Will you brave the cold to help the homeless?
Join Open Door for the St Albans Sleepout – come and brave the cold and help a homeless person keep warm.
We continue to help vulnerable people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. We also run the award winning volunteer led Winter Beds Project providing emergency bed spaces in extreme weather. With your support and sponsorship, we can continue our vital work.
Come and join us – whether you’re a community group, work colleagues, friends or family. Wrap up warm, brave the cold and help us raise money and improve awareness of homelessness.
The Sleepout takes place at Oaklands College, Smallford, St Albans AL4 0JA (Sat Nav AL4 0XS)
We start at 9pm on Friday 6th December and finish at 7am the next morning. On arrival, individuals and groups will be welcomed by the Open Door team, and we will collect your registration forms. You’ll be invited to bag your spot for the night (a little hint, try finding some shelter from the wind, by a wall or near lights so you can see) There will be a talk from the charities and hot drinks and soup will be served throughout the night. It’s then time to bed down in your sleeping bag or box for the night.
